Emmanuel C. Gorospe, MD, MPH, FACP, FACG, FASGE serves as Chief Medical Officer for KCRS. He has served as principal investigator in clinical trials and was co-founder of a site network focusing on diversity recruitment. As a Johns Hopkins and Mayo Clinic-trained physician-scientist, he is either principal author or co-author of more than 190 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts. As a physician-executive, he has founded a clinical laboratory company, served as managing partner for an ambulatory surgery center, and medical director for three independent research clinics. He is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and Society of Clinical Research Sites. He has been elected to fellowship in three medical societies and admitted to the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society.

Barrett Levesque, MD, MS is a Stanford-trained physician-scientist who has extensive experience in overseeing various aspects of drug development from phase 1 to 4. His professional experience extends from working in top-tier academic research centers, clinical research organizations and biopharmaceutical companies. He was formerly Vice President for Research & Development at a multinational CRO, Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Scripps Clinic and has held faculty appointments at University of California San Diego and the Mayo Clinic.

Kai Xu, MD is an Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He brings to KCRS a wealth of knowledge and experience in clinical medicine and biomedical informatics. He received his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania; then completed his residency at Johns Hopkins. His expertise includes implementation and optimization of EHR, and evaluation and integration of innovative technologies to improve medical care and patient experience. He has developed institutional guidelines on EHR usage, optimization of clinical workflow, and standardization of care.

Badr Al Bawardy, MD is an Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Al Bawardy earned his M.D. with distinction from George Washington University. He also completed an internal medicine residency, gastroenterology fellowship and an advanced inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He has published research in clinical outcomes and emerging IBD therapies. Dr. Al Bawardy serves as an editorial member and peer reviewer for multiple clinical journals.
